MME 4.5: New Content Formats

The next edition of MME 4.5 will put the spotlight on content formats and the continued rise of short-form content, along the way asking the question: “Is the shorter attention span of audiences driven by new technologies or are new technologies developed to better deliver to digital natives’ palates?”.

CMU is a media partner of MME 4.5 and CMU’s Chris Cooke sits alongside an assortment of music, media and legal experts on the programme’s editorial board.

The regular half day MME 4.5 events put the spotlight on issues, trends and debates in the music, media and entertainment sectors, exploring how the different content businesses intersect with each other, and with innovators in the technology and investment communities. Each edition sees a series of experts deliver short ten-minute presentations, and then debate key points with each other and the audience.

Among those speaking at the ‘New Content Formats’ event at the London HQ of Lewis Silkin on 10 Jul are Marla Altschuler from Cantine, Paul Jessop from RIAA, Timothy Armoo from Fanbytes, Tim Exile from Endless, Nikhil Shah from Mixcloud, and Dagmar Mae from Votemo. The demands of young consumers, the ongoing blurring of editorial and advertising, online collaborations, and the role (and payment) of curators will all also be discussed.
