Mogwai to release scrapped album

Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite has revealed that the band will release an entire scrapped album as a bonus disc on the upcoming fifteenth anniversary re-release of their second album, ‘Come On Die Young’.
Braithwaite told Clash: “We’d recorded a whole record before we went [to America to record ‘CODY’ with producer Dave Fridmann], at the time, and then scrapped it. So we’ve remixed those songs. We’re happy with it. It’s out in the summer, I think”.
As well as that, the band will release an EP of songs recorded at the same time as most recent album ‘Rave Tapes’, and have been signed up to recorded the soundtrack to the second series of French zombie drama ‘Les Revenants’. Which is good, because we liked their first very much.
