Morrissey confirms commemorative Satellite Of Love cover
By Aly Barchi | Published on Tuesday 12 November 2013
Morrissey is to release his version of Lou Reed’s 1972 single ‘Satellite Of Love’ to honour the late singer-songwriter, who died last month of course.
Taped live at the Las Vegas-based Chelsea Ballroom back in 2011, the cover will be available – digitally and on twelve and seven-inch vinyl – via Parlophone on 2 Dec.
Moz said at the time of Reed’s death: “He has been there all of my life. He will always be pressed to my heart. Thank God for those, like Lou, who move within their own laws, otherwise imagine how dull the world would be”.
