MTV to launch new Brand New live event as part of Liverpool festival

MTV will stage an event under its Brand New banner as part of the Liverpool International Music Festival next month, adding to the music TV network’s existing annual new talent event in London. Elle Eyre, Becky Hill and Jess Glynne will all perform at the event at Liverpool’s Camp And Furnace on 13 Aug.
MTV UK’s Kerry Taylor told CMU: “Liverpool has an intrinsic connection with music having brought us some of the world’s most famous acts and best loved songs. I can’t think of a better destination to host an MTV Brand New event to showcase some of the hottest new acts on the British music scene”.
Meanwhile Yaw Owusu from the Liverpool International Music Festival added: “We’re very excited about this show – MTV are a fantastic partner and the line-up is incredible, literally the cream of the UK pop and R&B scene. Our aim was to create something really exclusive, cool and intimate while keeping it affordable and I think we have definitely achieved it”.
