Mumford & Sons bringing festival to Scotland, Communion plans New Faces tour
By Andy Malt | Published on Wednesday 4 March 2015
Mumford & Sons have announced dates for their mainly-though-not-entirely-US-based Gentlemen Of The Road touring festival, including a UK date in Aviemore in Scotland.
Artists confirmed for the Scottish event, due to take place on 31 Jul and 1 Aug, include Ben Howard, Primal Scream, The Maccabees, Simian Mobile Disco DJs, Lianne La Havas, Jack Garratt, King Charles and Honeyblood. In the US they get Foo Fighters and Flaming Lips, but look, it’s not a competition.
On a smaller scale, one of the Sons, Ben Lovett, will be sending out some newer artists out on tour in April, as part of his Communion company’s annual ‘New Faces’ tour. Frances, Tenterhook, Charlotte OC and Freddie Dickson will perform at the following dates:
20 Apr: Arts Club, Liverpool
22 Apr: Brudenell, Leeds
23 Apr: Ruby Lounge, Manchester
24 Apr: Bullingdon, Oxford
27 Apr: Sticky Mike’s, Brighton
28 Apr: St Stephen’s, London
29 Apr: Louisiana, Bristol
As previously reported, Mumford & Sons are also set to release their third album, ‘Wilder Mind’, on 4 May.
