General purpose

To work as part of our busy marketing team to maximise exposure of events promoted by SJM Concerts. To implement marketing campaigns to generate sales for new tours and events via various platforms including press, radio, TV, digital and print.

To be highly efficient, organised and enthusiastic, with an ability to thrive under pressure in a stressful environment – and a passion for the music industry is a must have. 

To market all events promoted by SJM Concerts in conjunction with the promoters, directors and wider marketing team in a cost effective, efficient manner to the excellent first-class standards upon which SJM Concerts has built its reputation.


• Working closely with members of the press, marketing and digital team you will create and implement marketing campaigns for SJM tours and events.
• Coordinating the creation of tour artwork and the process of getting designs approved with promoters, agents and management for both print and online.
• Working alongside our busy ticketing department to facilitate the setup of artist, venue and external pre-sales as required. 
• Liaising with venues, tickets agents, and relevant partners to ensure they have all essential materials for new event / tour announcements and maintaining a correspondence throughout a campaign.
• Producing print materials, including posters and leaflets, for tours and arranging distribution including; poster runs, flyposting, billboards and entry/exit flyering at relevant events.
• Producing and coordinating SJM’s regional London multi leaflet, bespoke campaign leaflets, and artwork for venue listings leaflets and managing the associated costs.
• Proof-reading artwork and compilation pages for press. 
• Coordinating the creation of video trailers to advertise tours and events and overseeing the process of getting trailers approved.
• Assisting with digital marketing activity, including social media announcements, setting up sponsored social posts and content creation for online use. 
• Communicating with our external agencies to set up radio campaigns & book press, digital and OOH advertising as required.
• To implement marketing activity effectively according to the budgets for a tour as agreed with the respective SJM marketing campaign lead and/or promoter. 
• Working closely with the Marketing & Administration Co-ordinator to provide ongoing administrate support to ensure departmental responsibilities are fulfilled.
• Offering creative ideas and suggestions for tour and event announcements and general marketing pushes as required.
• To work out of hours as required, including on site at festivals and outdoor shows.
•To carry out any other duties that from time to time may be reasonably requested by the Head of Marketing, Head of Digital or by the Directors.

Skills/qualifications required

• Enthusiasm for the role and a willingness to assist and work as part of a strong team.
• A qualification and/or strong background in marketing is desired.
• A strong knowledge and understanding of the music industry is preferable.
• Knowledge across various marketing channels including social media, print, radio, TV is preferable.
• Good language / communication skills and an ability to write concisely.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for the role and a willingness to assist and work as part of a strong team.
• A passion for music and the music industry.
• Ability to handle multiple projects at any one time and to work to deadlines.
