My Chemical Romance split
By Aly Barchi | Published on Monday 25 March 2013
My Chemical Romance have split because, well, why not? Last May the band said that work was about to begin on a follow up to their 2010 long player ‘Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys’, but then all went quiet on that front. Instead the focus fell on a series of double A-side releases dubbed ‘Conventional Weapons’ that featured tracks recorded in 2009, but ultimately dropped in favour of the material that appeared on ‘Danger Days’.
Confirming the split on their website this weekend, the band said as one: “Being in this band for the past twelve years has been a true blessing. We’ve gotten to go places we never knew we would. We’ve been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We’ve shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure”.
