Nirvana confirm that Kurt Cobain is still alive

A report published by the Daily Mail claiming that Kurt Cobain is still alive is true, Nirvana’s official Facebook page has confirmed this morning.

It turns out Cobain is living in Peru under the name Ramiro Saavedra. He was rumbled when he appeared on the Peruvian version of ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ and performed ‘Come As You Are’. Rookie mistake. His second error was to upload a video of the performance to YouTube himself. He almost got away with it too, it having been available on the Google-owned video platform for four whole years before being noticed by the Mail.

Still, he did go to some effort to mask his true identity, apparently spending the nearly two decades between his ‘death’ and his TV return learning to play guitar right-handed, rather than left.

Confirming that the band’s former frontman had been rumbled, Nirvana’s official Facebook page posted: “It is true, Kurt is alive. He needed time to learn to play the guitar with his right hand. Finding left-handed guitars is not easy. We are so happy to have him back and forgive him for all of the sadness that we have held so deeply in our hearts”.

Big news. This could be the biggest reunion of recent times. Though it may be the case that Kurt would rather just continue entering lookalike competitions on South American TV. Him and Elvis have got a thing going.
