Nnamdi signs to Secretly Canadian, announces new album
By Andy Malt | Published on Wednesday 29 June 2022
Nnamdi has signed to Secretly Canadian to release his latest album, ‘Please Have A Seat’, later this year. Its first single, ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Famous’, is out now.
A multi-instrumentalist who works on numerous projects beyond his solo work, as well as running his own Sooper Records label, Nnamdi says that the pandemic allowed him to consider where he’s at in his career, following the release of his excellent 2020 album ‘Brat’.
“I realised I never take time to just sit and take in where I’m at”, he says. “It’s just nice to not be on ‘go, go, go!’ mode, and reevaluate where I wanted to go musically. I wanted to be present”.
‘Please Take A Seat’ is set for release on 7 Oct. Watch the video for ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Famous’ here:
