Noel reckons Liam should make more music
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 3 February 2015
So, Noel Gallagher’s been a very chatty man of late, hasn’t he? It’s as if, 20 years on from the height of Britpop, being rude about everyone in the press still helps sell records. But that can’t be it. Though if you’ve had trouble keeping up with everything he’s been saying, here’s a quick tl;dr – everyone’s a tedious cunt.
Apart from Liam Gallagher. Who’s a cheeky cunt. Actually a cheeky little cunt. Is that better? Well, whatever. Informing Q Magazine that, despite past tensions, he still sees his brother “at the football”, Noel remarked how Liam had told him he would have done a much better job singing the song ‘Everybody’s On The Run’ that appeared on the ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ album. Says Noel: “He said, ‘I’d have smashed it’. I was like, ‘Yeah, whatever’. Like I said, a cheeky little cunt”.
But he’s a cheeky little cunt who should be singing songs, reckons Noel. Though preferably his own. Asked about his brother’s plans now that his post-Oasis band Beady Eye have split, Noel mused: “Liam won’t be out of the music game for long, and he shouldn’t be, because there aren’t many people like that still left”.
Cheeky not tedious he means. Because, as we’ve already established, there are plenty of cunts.
