Noise Of Art announce further electronic music 100th anniversary celebrations
By Andy Malt | Published on Friday 7 February 2014
Cultural collective Noise Of Art have announced details of a further show in their continuing series of events celebrating the 100th anniversary of electronic music.
As discussed in this interview with Noise Of Art’s Ben Osborne last year, in April 1914 Italian futurist Luigi Russolo performed for the first time using prototype synthesizers, described in his 1913 book ‘Manifesto For An Art Of Noises’.
Marking the passing of the exact date of the 100th year since this performance, in April this year Noise Of Art will host a number of events, concluding with a performance from Booka Shade (pictured) – whose latest album, ‘Eve’, was itself recorded using vintage synths (though not 100 year old ones).
The show will take place at Village Underground in Shoreditch on 25 Apr, with further details to follow.
