5 Alarm Music

Hey, more from Canada now. Canadian music publisher Ole has acquired production music library 5 Alarm Music. Why not, I say. Who am I to stand in someone’s way if they want themselves a production music library. Knock yourselves out.

“Ole is happy to significantly expand our services and repertoire offering to clients in collaboration with 5 Alarm, a stand-out, independent in the space”, says the company’s CEO Robert Ott. “We’re looking forward to working with Cassie and her staff”.

Cassie? Who the fuck is Cassie? Does she want to buy a production music library? No, she already works for one. 5 Alarm, specifically. Of which she was and still is President. Her name is Cassie Lord.

“5 Alarm Music is committed to elevating production standards through quality music, and we’re happy to team up with our kindred spirits at Ole to amplify that message”, says she. “The independent spirit has always been a crucial part of our company’s identity, so Ole’s ‘majorly indie’ philosophy resonated strongly with us. We can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together”.

Everyone’s talking about being a ‘major indie’ or ‘indie major’ at the moment. Stop it. You can be one or the other. No more.
