Original Limp Bizkit line-up reforms
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 12 February 2009
As previously reported, the original line-up of Limp Bizkit have been working together on new material, minus guitarist Wes Borland, since last year.
There had been speculation over who would play guitar on the new album, but you could be pretty damn sure it wouldn’t be Borland. Just last week he told MLive.com: “I have no plans on working with Limp again. It’s better for me, for sure”.
So you might be surprised to learn that Wes Borland is back with Limp Bizkit. He will join the rest of the original line-up of the band, Fred Durst, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and DJ Lethal, for a world tour, kicking off in May, and the new album, the release date of which is still to be confirmed.
In a joint statement, Borland and Durst said: “We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognise there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back”.
