Ozzy Osbourne reschedules postponed farewell tour dates (again)
By Andy Malt | Published on Tuesday 12 November 2019
Ozzy Osbourne has announced dates for his third attempt at a farewell tour. The former Black Sabbath frontman’s ‘No More Tours 2’ venture has previously been scuppered due to various health problems. The rescheduled shows will now take place in October and November next year.
The dates were postponed for a second time last month due to Osbourne’s longer than expected recovery from neck surgery.
“I’ve got more nuts and bolts in my neck now than in my car”, he said at the time. “[But] I’m not dying, I am recovering, it’s just taking a little bit longer than everyone thought it would. I’m bored stiff of being stuck on a bed all day. I can’t wait to get off my ass and get going again, but you’re just going to have be a bit more patient”.
Amazingly, despite the multiple postponements, Judas Priest will still be the support act on the rescheduled rescheduled dates.
Frontman Rob Halford says: “We are very grateful for the rock solid support from our wonderful UK & European fans as Ozzy gets well and strong. The UK/European tour will showcase the very best British metal from the ones that started it all and we proudly look forward to celebrating our 50 heavy metal years together with you!”
Previously purchased tickets remain valid for all shows (and refunds are available to those who now can’t/don’t want to go). Here are the new UK and Ireland dates:
23 Oct: Newcastle, Utilita Arena
25 Oct: Glasgow, Hydro
28 Oct: London, O2 Arena
31 Oct: Birmingham, Resorts World Arena
2 Nov: Manchester Arena
5 Nov: Dublin, 3Arena
8 Nov: Nottingham, Motorpoint Arena
