Pearl Jam go on hiatus

Pearl Jam aren’t splitting up, but they have implied they are going on hiatus.
Following a string of recent headline appearances at various festivals, frontman Eddie Vedder told his audience at Portugal’s Optimus Alive festival in Lisbon last weekend that that performance would be the “last in a long time” for the alt rock combo.
According to local press, Vedder signed off by saying: “Thank you for coming to our last show; not our last ever, but our last in a long time”.
Hmm, I wonder if a verbal commitment is enforceable under Portuguese law?
