PledgeMusic launches fan powered vinyl re-issue site
By Andy Malt | Published on Tuesday 24 September 2013
PledgeMusic has announced a new venture, called Vinyl Vaults, which is to repress out-of-print vinyl releases based on levels of interest from fans. The service is very similar to standalone service Beat Delete, and Universal’s own in house fan-funded vinyl website.
Yet to go live, interested parties are invited to sign up for the Vinyl Vaults mailing list, with plans to offer “items unavailable elsewhere, seven-inch singles which have not been available since they were first released, test pressings, artwork proofs” and more.
