Primary Wave expands talent management division
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 20 January 2015
US-based music group Primary Wave has announced the merger of its talent management division with Intellectual Artists Management to create, what it’s calling “a full service entertainment management company with talent spanning creative industries, from music to film to television and literary”.
Primary Wave had already added to its talent management business recently by acquiring film and TV agency Evolution Entertainment Partners. The new business, which will operate under the Primary Wave brand, will be headed up by both Primary Wave CEO Larry Mestel and Intellectual Artists boss David Guillod, with Evolution CEO Mark Burg as Vice Chairman.
Confirming the deal, Guillod told reporters: “We are very excited to partner with Larry and his team, which will perfectly position us to become a global entertainment, media, branding and licensing powerhouse. I look forward to our new relationship and our continued aggressive growth in the future”.
Mestell added: “I’m proud to be entering into this partnership with David and his amazing team at Intellectual. This is truly an exciting business step for both companies and will give our roster of artists the opportunity to expand their brands across many platforms within the entertainment industry”.
