Prince to get lifetime gong at BET Awards
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 16 June 2010
Prince will be presented with a lifetime achievement award at this year’s BET Awards, which, as previously reported, will take place on 27 Jun in LA.
The BET Awards is the flagship back-slapping bash staged by the MTV-owned music and entertainment TV channel aimed at the black community.
Past winners of the lifetime achievement gong at the BET Awards include James Brown, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross and Al Green.
Confirming Prince would get the big prize this year, BET’s Stephen Hill said, simply: “Prince is dynamic. Prince is genius. Prince is music”.
