Psy breaks more YouTube records

Can Psy follow-up the success of ‘Gangnam Style’ with his next single? That’s the question everyone’s been asking. And considering last year’s viral hit has had over 1.5 billion views on YouTube, it’s probably fair to say that he was being set up for a fall, whatever happened. But last week he returned with ‘Gentleman’, his first new track since ‘Gangnam Style’ last July, and he’s having a good go at matching its success.

In fact, the video for ‘Gentleman’, which went online on Saturday, has already broken several YouTube records. The first was for the most views in a video’s first day online, previously held by Justin Bieber’s ‘Beauty And A Beat’ with 10.6 million. The Korean star sailed past that with 18.9 million on Saturday. He’s now also become the first person to reach 70 million views in just three days, and as of this morning has become the first person to pass 100 million views in four days.
