I don’t know what time it is where you are, but it’s free mixtape o’clock in De La Soul‘s world, as the NYC hip hop trio show their esteem for late great beat-maker J Dilla by releasing the eleven-track ‘Smell The DAISY’, which samples various beats Dilla made in life. Signed to the Sacred Bones label, which is always an automatic plus, one-man Scandinavian taskforce Hannes Norrvide, aka Lust For Youth, has just announced a forthcoming album titled ‘International’. He trailed its release, which will be on 9 Jun by the way, earlier this week via its radiantly chilly lead single ‘Epoetin Alfa’, which is available to stream right here:
Hip hop-favouring Mancs producer Lone has an LP of his own to talk about, too, in the form of ‘Reality Testing’, which is arriving via R&S Records on 16 Jun.
