Rihanna to release cartoon-based ‘concept’ LP
By Aly Barchi | Published on Thursday 27 February 2014
Variety says Rihanna is working on a cartoonish new LP, her most cartoonish so far. Which is saying something.
This one’s a “concept” piece based on an actual cartoon, forthcoming DreamWorks Animation film ‘Home’, in which Rihanna is voice-acting and doing some singing too. Of new songs, which will go on the LP, and so on.
The film, which is inspired by writer Adam Rex’s kids’ book ‘The True Meaning Of Smekday’ – a story of aliens invading earth – is due to hit cinemas in November. Which might give an idea of when we can expect the Rihanna LP to arrive.
