Roger Waters extends Warner/Chappell publishing deal
By CMU Editorial | Published on Tuesday 24 August 2010
Roger Waters has re-signed his publishing contract with Warner/Chappell Music. The deal means the Warner Music publishing arm will continue to administer the musician’s Pink Floyd rights song rights from the band’s fifth studio album, ‘Atom Heart Mother’, to 1983’s ‘The Final Cut’, Waters’ last album with the band.
Announcing the renewed deal, Warner/Chappell UK MD Richard Manners said: “Roger is an iconic songwriter, lyricist and musician. Each generation discovers these phenomenal albums anew, and their wide-reaching influence and popularity continues to grow. We’re delighted Roger entrusts these songs to Warner/Chappell on a global basis, and we’re looking forward to the work ahead, especially with much-anticipated ‘The Wall’ dates on the horizon”.
