Santigold from now on, okay?

The artist formerly known as Santogold has changed her name to Santigold.
The singer songwriter, whose real name, as you may know, is Santi White, announced the name change in a press release which read: “Santogold is now Santigold. She’s not telling you why, that’s just how it is. No unpronounceable symbol, no numbers where they shouldn’t be, no random capitalization, just plain ass Santigold so remember that”.
As you can see, there’s no explanation as to why the change has taken place. It’s possible that it has something to do with the fact that one Santo Rigatuso of Baltimore last year filed a suit against the singer, suing her for using the name Santogold, which he says he’s been using since 1983.
