Scissor Sisters consider Nine Inch Nails cover
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 16 June 2010
Scissor Sisters have done a cover or two in their time. Best known, obviously, is the disco rework of Pink Floyd’s ‘Comfortably Numb’, but also worth a listen is their version of ‘Take Me Out’ by Franz Ferdinand. Next, Jake Shears has revealed the band are thinking about tackling Nine Inch Nails.
Shears told Spinner: “I love cover songs and I’ve always wanted to do a honky-tonk version of ‘Piggy’. Me and Babydaddy are huge fans of Nine Inch Nails. I think Trent [Reznor] is a real genius”.
If you’re not familiar, ‘Piggy’ sounds like this.
And while we’re posting Spotify links, here’s that cover of ‘Take Me Out’, too.
