Sia apologises to those “triggered” by new video

Sia has apologised to people offended by the video for her new single ‘Elastic Heart’, which features twelve year old dancer Maddie Ziegler (who also appeared in Sia’s ‘Chandalier’ video) and 28 year old Shia LaBeouf (who, like Sia, has a penchant for putting paper bags on his head).
The singer tweeted: “I anticipated some ‘paedophilia!!!’ cries for this video. All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play these two warring ‘Sia’ self states. I apologise to those who feel triggered by [the] ‘Elastic Heart’ . My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody”.
