Sia has renewed her publishing deal with Sony/ATV, a partnership now more than fifteen years old. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That’s what they always say, isn’t it? Sia and Sony/ATV, I mean. They’re always saying that.

“If it ain’t broke”, said Sia in a statement. “Don’t fix it”, added Sony/ATV CEO Marty Bandier.

No, not really. Sia didn’t actually say anything, because she’s all mysterious and shit. But she probably would have said she was “thrilled” about the new deal given half the chance. Luckily, Sony/ATV UK MD Guy Moot was on hand to fill that particular press release hole.

“We are thrilled to be extending our long and hugely successful relationship with Sia who stands as a true artist with an amazing gift for writing incredible songs both for herself and other people”, he said. “She brings artistic lyrics of real integrity to the mainstream and it’s great her career has now come full circle with her back in the spotlight as a recording artist. She really is an unpredictably wonderful talent”.

The aforementioned Bandier added: “Sia is a unique and extraordinarily special songwriter to Sony/ATV and we are so proud to have been part of her career for such a long time. So I am delighted that we have been able to renew our agreement with her and I look forward to many more successes to come”.

Sia, as I’m sure you already know, is about to release a new album called ‘This Is Acting’.
