Smashing Pumpkins reunion rumoured for next summer
By Andy Malt | Published on Monday 1 August 2016
Billy Corgan has fuelled rumours that the original line-up of The Smashing Pumpkins are getting back together with a vague update on Facebook.
In a video posted on the social network last week, Corgan said: “There’s some big stuff happening. We’re making plans. I can’t give that away, but it’s going to be interesting”.
A source subsequently told Consequence Of Sound that Corgan has been pitching for reunion shows and festival slots next summer.
Corgan has performed with former bandmates Jimmy Chamberlain and James Iha over the last year, while former bassist D’arcy Wretzky recently said that she would “consider going back” to the band.
