Londoner Banjo Or Freakout, aka Alessio Natalizia, operates in the space that some of my very favourite artists sit in, right between the laptop-electronica of Four Tet and the avant-garde harmonies of Animal Collective.
Gorgeous stratospheric fuzz glides over a clattering smorgasbord of sounds, with floating, gravity-free vocals harmonizing on ‘Mr No’, while the other tracks streaming on his MySpace compel similar superlatives.
Definitely worth your time.
