Soft Cell and Pet Shop Boys collaborate on new single, Purple Dreams

It must be 80s pop Christmas time, because Soft Cell have just released a new collaboration with Pet Shop Boys, ‘Purple Zone’.
The song is taken from Soft Cell’s upcoming new album – ‘*Happiness Not Included’ – and an earlier version of it was previewed at live shows last year. The original plan was for Pet Shop Boys to remix the track, but it ended up being a full on collaboration, and this is the version that now features on the album.
“Working with the Pet Shop Boys was a pleasure, and this track is the perfect combination of us and them”, says Soft Cell’s Marc Almond.
Pet Shop Boys add: “We are THRILLED to collaborate with such an inspirational duo as Soft Cell on this gorgeous song”.
