Soundtracking raises new round of investment
By CMU Editorial | Published on Friday 11 November 2011
SoundTracking, a ‘musical postcards’ company apparently (take photo on phone, log location, sync with appropriate song, upload to social media), announced earlier this week that it had raised another $4.75 million in financing. Among the new investors are True Ventures, SoftBank and Accel Partners, the latter also an investor in Spotify.
Commenting on punter reaction to his company’s service, SoundTracking founder Steve Jang told CMU: “The response from music fans and iOS device users has been incredible so far, and SoundTracking has enjoyed not only strong growth but authentic context and real emotional engagement as well. We will continue to enhance the user experience and make sharing your musical moments deeper and more meaningful”.
