SpinMedia sells Idolator, Buzznet and PureVolume

Following the news last month that SpinMedia was up for sale, three of the music and entertainment blogs it owns – Idolator, PureVolume and Buzznet – have been sold to Hive Media, reports Billboard.
“We love Idolator, Buzznet and PureVolume and see a lot of potential in these music outlets”, Hive Media CEO Markus Levin told Billboard. “We seek to provide exciting experiences to the communities which are following those three entertainment properties. We believe that we have a unique understanding of what our web communities are seeking, which enables us to create content and experiences uniquely catered to them”.
It having been founded last year, Hive’s new purchases are the only blog titles it currently lists on its website, though it boasts offices in New York, Los Angeles, San Diego and Tel Aviv.
