Springsteen found out about Grammy win in the newspaper

I’m not sure I believe this, but Bruce Springsteen has been quoted as saying he didn’t know he was nominated for Best Rock Song at last week’s Grammys until he read that he’d won the prize in a newspaper on Monday.
The Boss won the prize for the second year running with his single ‘Girls In Their Summer Clothes’.
He told reporters yesterday: “I didn’t even know I was up for a Grammy! I opened the newspaper on Monday and saw that I had won, and thought, ‘Well, that’s great!'”
