Stornoway sign artist services deal with Cooking Vinyl
By Andy Malt | Published on Friday 6 March 2015
Stornoway have signed a worldwide artist services deal with Cooking Vinyl to release their new album ‘Bonxie’.
Cooking Vinyl Product Manager Marcus Knight said of the deal: “It’s great to be working with such a talented group of musicians. The success Stornoway have had with the funding campaign for the album just goes to show how much people love this band, and I’m sure when they hear it they’ll be blown away”.
Stornoway’s manager Jon Chapman added: “Cooking Vinyl are a positive, ambitious and thoroughly modern record company in every sense. They are an intelligent and passionate team with an unparalleled digital marketing strategy, so the band and I are thrilled to be working with them”.
‘Bonxie’ is due for release on 13 Apr, its release funded via a PledgeMusic pre-order campaign – the band achieved 222% of their target in four days. The recording also saw them work with a producer, in this case Gil Norton, for the first time in their career.
