Sugababes not competing with Keisha
By CMU Editorial | Published on Tuesday 22 June 2010
The current batch of Sugababes aren’t competing with former member Keisha, who is preparing to launch her solo career. That’s such a silly idea. I mean, come on, why would there be any animosity between the founder of the group and the latecomers who forced her out of it? It’s so far fetched as to be ridiculous.
The most recent Babe (and Keisha’s replacement), Jade Ewen told Bang Showbiz last week: “Keisha is a solo artist and we’re a group so we’re not in competition with each other at all. That would be ridiculous – I’ve never even met her”.
Oh, yeah, I forgot about that whole thing with pop groups and pop solo artists being segregated, too.
Anyway, Ewen also revealed that the Sugababes next album might be different from the critically panned last long player, ‘Sweet 7’, saying: “We’re keeping to our Sugababes sound but we’re also hoping to try new things too”.
