The Strokes sign to BMG for North American publishing
By Chris Cooke | Published on Friday 7 February 2014
The Strokes have signed a new publishing deal for North America with the US branch of BMG Chrysalis, following the release of their fifth long player last year.
Confirming the new deal, the band’s frontman Julian Casablancas told reporters… oh, hang on, the obligatory quote seems to be missing from this here press release.
Erm, commenting on his BMG deal Casablancas said: “See, people they don’t understand; No, girlfriends, they can’t understand; Your Grandsons, they won’t understand; On top of this, I ain’t ever gonna understand”.
Which doesn’t seem like the informed position you’re meant to be in when entering into a legal agreement. But I’m sure it’ll all be fine.
