The Underworld in Camden has become the latest venue to partner with Dice to offer mobile-first ticketing. Tickets for shows at the venue will now be offered through the Dice app, locking them to each buyer’s smartphone.

“Camden is known for its amazing musical heritage but we’re not stuck in the past”, says the venue’s Jon Vyner. “Music fans coming through our doors are tech-savvy and used to organising their lives through their smartphones. Ticketing should be no different. App-based tickets makes it easier for fans to discover our events and book tickets hassle-free”.

Meanwhile Dice’s Chief Revenue Officer Russ Tannen reminds us that mobile-ticketing aids anti-touting activity. He says: “With Dice, venues have complete control over their tickets and know that they are going to real fans, not touts”.

Of the new deal, he goes on: “Signing The Underworld as a partner will bring a load more heavy music to Dice fans week-in, week-out. It’s not just guitar bands either, last year The Underworld put on some amazing alt rap shows with artists like Slowthai, Scarlxrd and $uicideboy$. This is a venue pushing live music forward”.

Don’t forget that Threatin will also be making their triumphant return to the venue later this year too. Though they might set a fake ticketing app to sell tickets to their show.
