Tom Jones to receive outstanding contribution award

Tom Jones is to receive this year’s Music Industry Trust outstanding contribution award.
Jones, who releases a new album next month, said of the announcement: “2010 is shaping up to be a very memorable year for me. I’m delighted to be honoured with the Music Industry Trust’s award and to join the roll-call of some great past honourees”.
He will collect the award at a ceremony held in aid of music charity Nordoff Robbins and the BRIT Trust at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 1 Nov.
