Travi$ Scott faces charges after Lollapalooza set
By Chris Cooke | Published on Monday 3 August 2015
Rapper Travi$ Scott is facing disorderly conduct charges after encouraging fans to jump over the stage barriers during his set at the US date of Lollapalooza in Chicago this weekend.
The city’s Office Of Emergency Management said the rapper’s set was cut short after he began telling fans to climb over the security barricades. He then fled the scene but was subsequently taken into custody.
A spokesman for the office, Melissa Stratton, confirmed Scott was now facing the disorderly conduct charges, even though the incident was dealt with quickly by festival staff and no one was hurt.
Scott’s people are yet to comment on the incident. Though the rapper might wish his set had been scheduled for Sunday, when some of the festival’s proceedings had to be suspended because of stormy weather.
