Two Door Cinema Club set biggest live date yet, premiere new track
By Aly Barchi | Published on Friday 16 August 2013
Kev, Alex and Sam – aka Two Door Cinema Club – ‘revealed’ a brand new track last night via the radio, celebrating by adding their largest headline date to… well, to date at practically the same time.
The track, ‘Changing Of The Seasons’, splits its title with a new three-track EP the band are releasing on 30 Sep, and can be heard here:
That live date, meanwhile, is at London’s O2 Arena on 13 Dec, and tickets to it will go on sale 21 Aug, ie next Wednesday.
To pass several minutes in the meantime, read TDCC’s Sam Halliday’s lengthy speech re his excitement at getting to play The O2, a speech that starts, and ends, like this: “I want to know how many gigs we have done to get here. We have been quite lucky to build our following in the right way – the pub shows, then the theatre shows, then the warehouse shows. It feels like a huge achievement, it is the thing we have been working very hard towards for a long time but at the same time we feel confident and ready that we are experienced enough and have got enough fans and enough songs and enough records behind us to headline The O2. It will be the biggest moment of our career so far!”
