Having recently signed on with William Morris Endeavor for gig booking services, Neil Diamond has now announced a new publishing administration deal with Universal.
The major’s publishing company will admin Diamond’s songs past, present and future on a worldwide basis, as well as seeking sync deals. The singer songwriter is already working with another Universal subsidiary, Capitol Records, on the recordings side of his new studio album ‘Melody Road’, out later this month.
Universal big cheese Lucian Grainge confirmed his firm’s latest deal with Diamond by telling reporters: “It fills me with immense pride to now have Neil’s entire publishing and recorded music catalogues both at Universal Music. Neil’s enduring popularity is a testament to his considerable talents as a performer and songwriter. We look forward to continuing to work with Neil and to maximise opportunities for him and his music on a global scale”.
