Want something Nordic? Ja, of course you do
By CMU Editorial | Published on Monday 11 October 2010
If you didn’t make it to last week’s You Are In Control conference in Reykjavik, and won’t make it Iceland-side for Airwaves this week either, well fear not London types, you can still have a bit of Nordic fun on 21 Oct in the slightly more convenient (if not quite as exciting) setting of The Lexington on Pentonville Road, courtesy of Ja Ja Ja, a regular London showcase featuring Nordic talent.
Each edition of Ja Ja Ja is hosted by a different UK media, and this month’s sees Clash mag in control. On the bill will be Iceland’s Rokkurro, Norway’s The Low Frequency In Stereo and Sweden’s The Deer Tracks. All three will be marvellous, I’m sure, though as devotees will already know, The Deer Tracks are now listed in the Oxford English Dictionary as the pure definition of a “CMU favourite”. That is to say, we bloody love them.
