Single Review: We Have Band – You Came Out (Kill Em All)
By CMU Editorial | Published on Monday 15 June 2009
We Have Band have come up with a corker of a single with an infectious funky bassline and twinkly electropop stylings linking to an addictive chorus and whistling section that will get lodged in your head. From the opening, where you can hear them chatting about drinking wine and other random things, you can tell this is going to be a ramshackle affair but it draws you in, and you end up trying to figure out if there is a better rhyme than wasted/turkey basted. The backing tracks – a rather good cover of ‘West End Girls’ and a couple of stomping remixes – makes me think this lot might just do something. IM
