We Were Promised Jetpacks have announced that they’ve signed a new record deal with Big Scary Monsters. They’ve marked the occasion by announcing… tour dates. There is a new album in the works too though, expected to be released later this year. That explains that whole record deal thing.

Ahead of their tenth anniversary as a band, the outfit have been on a bit of a break over the last couple of years. That break allowed them time to meditate on their place in the world, and now they’ve reverted back to their original four member line up, having spent some time as a five-piece.
