Weezer reveal more about classic album tour plans
By CMU Editorial | Published on Monday 23 August 2010
Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has revealed that the band are hoping to perform both of their first two albums live in their entirety.
As previously reported, bassist Brian Bell told Rock Sound last week: “We have a reissue of ‘Pinkerton’ coming out with new packaging and, I’m praying, a ‘Pinkerton’ tour, where we’ll play all the songs off ‘Pinkerton'”.
However, speaking to MTV News, Cuomo said that the plans are even more exciting than that: “We have this really exciting idea to do a tour where we spend two nights in each city, and the first night, we play the entire ‘Blue’ album, and the second night, we play the entirety of ‘Pinkerton’. We’re just running it by promoters right now to see if there’s sufficient interest in the markets to do something like that, and if they’re on board, it’s gonna happen”.
Any promoter who doesn’t think this is a good idea is an idiot.
