Zane Lowe to host six-part MTV music show, Soundchain
By Aly Barchi | Published on Friday 4 April 2014
Zane Lowe is to host a new six-part music show on MTV, called ‘Soundchain’. ‘Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain’ is its full title, actually, since the series sees MTV linking up with Relentless, in tune with the ‘alternative music’ of the energy drink’s PR remit. Duh. According to this thing on the Relentless site, the first of the half-hour programmes will go out on MTV on 6 Jul.
Lowe, who as ‘Soundchain’ host will chat with guest acts, and shut up/go off to the side while they perform, says: “These shows will be a great opportunity for me to interview some of my favourite artists and get a unique view into their inspiring journeys, how they connect with music and what has got them to where they are today”.
And: “We’ve been lucky enough to connect with some incredible people, so expect some revealing interviews and exciting live performances”.
Twitching with excitement and excessive caffeine intake, Relentless Marketing Manager Sam Grant says: “Since launch Relentless has been embedded in credible music. Continuing our relationship with Zane and telling compelling stories of achievement from musical heroes will inspire our audience to achieve success doing what they love and we’ll be there to fuel them on their journey”.
