Karma Artists and Imagem partner on new publishing company

Imagem Music has announced a new joint venture publishing agreement with producer and writer management company Karma Artists. The deal will see Imagem administer a catalogue of songs acquired by Karma’s songs business.
“This is a great complement to our A&R frontier at Imagem and I look forward to working together across a range of songwriters and producers”, says Imagem’s UK Managing Director Kim Frankiewicz.
Karma Artists’ A&R Director Ross Gautreau says of the decision to move into publishing: “We’ve built a fantastic roster of writers and producers over the past four years and manage two very exciting artists in Joel Baker and Little Giants. This, together with our A&R consultancy work with Universal and Syco on ‘X-Factor’, has enabled us to build a very exciting and diverse music company”.
He goes on: “A fully servicing publishing division was something that we felt we were missing and something we have always been keen to build, but this was always going to be dependent on finding a like-minded, forward thinking partner like we have in Imagem”.
The Karma Songs catalogue currently includes works recorded by Andrea Bocelli, Diana Ross, Bananarama and The Saturdays.
