Approved: UV

The former frontwoman of Kull and White Russia, Marina Elderton, is also an accomplished composer – providing scores for Film4, the Royal Television Society and various brands. Last year she stepped out again as a performer, launching her new solo project UV.
Her new songs are slow-paced, but filled with drama and tension, built with layered harmonies, guitar melodies and driving basslines.
Her first track as UV, ‘Defender’, was released last year, and also serves as the title track for her debut EP, out on 19 Jul. Ahead of that, she has released the latest track from it, ‘Wilt’, which sinks her further into what is becoming an instantly recognisable style.
To coincide with the EP release, Eldeton will also play her first live show as UV at St Pancras Old Church in London on 19 Jul.
