Beats Music hires Julie Pilat as curator
By Andy Malt | Published on Thursday 8 August 2013
Beats Music, the streaming service formerly known as Daisy, has appointed Julie Pilat, former Alternative Brand Manager at Clear Channel, as it’s Head Of Curation And Artist Development.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Pilat said of the role: “To change the path for the future of music is the opportunity of a lifetime … I couldn’t say no … I know there will be a lot of geeking out over music. It’s about an art for connecting and giving [the users] what they want … Curation will find that community with a true passion for music. That’s what’s going to set us apart”.
