Bids being taken for Nile Rodgers created IMS anthem
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 2 July 2013
The rights in an ‘anthem’ created by that surprising man of the moment, Mr Nile Rodgers, at this year’s EDM-focused International Music Summit are to be auctioned off for charity. Rodgers is the latest artist and producer to be invited to create a unique track during IMS though, say the event’s organisers, this year when the ‘anthem’ – remixed by Eats Everything – was premiered there was much interest amongst delegates in acquiring the rights in it.
To that end, bids are now being accepted via Leigh Head at Sherrards Solicitors from labels interested in acquiring the rights to distribute the master recording, with the advance paid under any deal donated to Rodgers’ charity the We Are Family Foundation. Sealed bids in excess of £5000 are being accepted until 9am on 14 Jul. Anyone interesting in making a serious bid should email lbh@sherrards.com for details.
