CMU Insights: Digital Dollar masterclass incoming

The next edition of CMU’s ‘Dissecting The Digital Dollar’ masterclass is getting closer. It’s your chance to get to grips with how streaming really works from a rights and royalties perspective in one afternoon.
Based on the five years of research CMU has undertaken for the UK’s Music Manager’s Forum, this masterclass explains how digital licensing deals are structured and how streaming royalties are paid each month.
It also provides an easy-access guide to the copyright law, music industry conventions and collective licensing rules that have all impacted on the way streaming works, and explains some of the key ongoing debates.
